I was the designer on CNN’s miniseries “LBJ: Triumph and Tragedy.” We needed replicas of parts of the White House and Air Force One, and because of the short schedule, it required recreating rare or outdated tech, like his iconic switchboard phones and the array of cathode ray tube televisions built into a custom cabinet in the oval office. I designed the show, and built the custom props.
